The aftertaste of the rolls with the unique local sauce was familiarly satisfying, that gave her a dreamy feeling of a rarely substantial breakfast. Their bodies were injected with great warmth and energetic cheer. They took the left fork and went the quickest way to the bus stop.
It was sunny.
No later than nine o’clock, they got on one of the very few public buses, which had only started running last winter. Mei was deeply impressed by the old who respectably took all the seats. Some of them looked ancient. Mei couldn’t help peering from one face to another, wondering if the world was going into reverse. Later, a middle-aged woman holding a shovel, came to the bus with a smile. She looked adorable with a pony tail and a tight pair of fl owery trousers that very well showed the roundness of her peachy ass. She greeted some of the passengers in tones of cheering at a dog race. She asked the driver for directions after a few stops, and said thank you before getting off . No sooner had she gone the wrong way than the driver gave her a kind shout, “Take the uphill road, not the downhill one!” The woman heard and turned back with a silly smile that was comical. Everyone looked cheered by her silliness. Many started chatting to one another, probably agreeing, What an amusing woman!
